Wrinkle Free Clothes!

                                                            Wrinkle Free Clothes!

Overview

Whether or not the fabric will crease depends on several factors. Weight, weave complexity, composition, and treatment (if any) usually determine the level of wrinkle resistance of a fabric. In general, the heavier the weight, the more processing, and the more complex the woven structure, the less likely it is to wrinkle, and vice versa. Several of these factors are often at work in a single fabric, and certain combinations can  increase a fabric's wrinkle resistance. A breakdown of the composition and how the treatment affects the wrinkle resistance of the fabric.

Complex Weave Resists Wrinkling

The weave of the fabric determines its natural resistance to wrinkling. Tighter weaves such as royal oxford, imperial twill, and jacquard tend to wrinkle less, while very smooth, flat looking wool fabrics (or poplin) and plain weaves tend to wrinkle more.Weave density plays an even more important role. Because the diagonal  weave of twill is particularly dense, it is often less prone to wrinkling than oxford and similar weight needlepoints. The 'dot' weave structure of Oxford and Pinpoint is less dense and has a slightly 'loose' and 'more open' structure, which makes it wrinkle resistant. Because wool fabric is very dense and difficult to weave, most wool fabrics tend to be lighter than twill, oxford and pinpoint. This is why wool fabric is one of the most wrinkle-prone  shirt fabrics.

Non-Iron And Wrinkle Resistant Technolgy Makes More Wrinkle Free Clothes

Finally, the fabric can be chemically treated to make it less prone to wrinkling. The intensity of the treatment varies from 'wrinkle-free' - meaning the fabric should be ironed or steamed after washing but not wrinkled throughout the day - to 'no ironing'. Iron-on fabrics have undergone a stronger treatment so that they do not need to be ironed or steamed after washing. Ready to use after hanging to dry, almost no wrinkles in daily life. Fabrics without these additional treatments should generally not  be expected to perform as well, with some exceptions noted below. B. Merino wool fabric that does not require any treatment  to remain completely wrinkle-free.
